Winners of Catching A Sorcerer

IMG_0220Congratulations to Jacklynn who won the signed trade paperback! And congratulations to Valerie, Lynn, Shelly H, Veronica and Shelley S, who all won ebook copies!

Whew! That was a busy tour!

I'm now hard at work on the sequel: Catching A Demon. I've also been working on the cover design and might have something to show you soon!

I've donated Catching A Sorcerer to my local library. It's already been signed out-- but this means you can request it through Inter-Library Loan services! (It doesn't appear to be available via OverDrive, the ebook & audio book lending service, but I'll keep my eye out.)

I'd hoped to be able to tell you my short story made it to the final round of the John Galbraith Literary Award, but alas, "If Wishes Were Pennies" remains a semi-finalist.

Perhaps there will be more good news soon!

Less than 10 hours left in the Giveaway!

It's the end of the tour! Be sure to visit these last two stops to get all your entries in: Visit Book Marks the Spot to read a guest post I wrote about the inspiration behind Catching A Sorcerer: http://caughtinasnyderwebb.blogspot.ca/2013/10/sara-walker-guest-post-catching.html

A billion years ago I picked up Kelley Armstrong's novel DIME STORE MAGIC. Okay, it wasn't quite a billion years ago. It was 2004. I'd just read everything to date by Laurell K. Hamilton and I was looking for something to read between her publication dates. The cover of DIME STORE MAGIC caught my eye (Great job, Seal Books /Random House Canada!), started reading and immediately picked up her backlist, too.

Why do you think Urban Fantasy (paranormal) is such a loved genre?
Because it's familiar. Because it shows us a world like ours, but different. Because it shows us people like us but with extraordinary problems. Because it makes our mundane lives look so much easier. Because we often wish to escape life and be rescued by the modern equivalent of a knight. Because it opens doors to so many possibilities.
