Did you get into the Pimp My Hook contest? Adrien-Luc Sanders, an editor at Entangled Publishing, generously offered to edit the hooks of the first 50 entrants. He defined the hook as the first 100 words. So of course I entered my YA SF project, KEEPING SECRETS. The first few pages are incredibly important in catching the attention of a reader, an agent, an editor. And I'll take any advice/feedback I can get on my writing.
But guess what?
*happy dancing* I did not expect that. I'd been so excited just to get feedback from an editor. Then lo and behold, a request. Holy cow. I am so grateful for this opportunity. It's a great chance to learn and grow.
