Today on the way home, my 12 year old son casually remarked, "It's amazing that eating fish is so healthy for your brain since fish have such tiny brains."
We talk a lot about healthy eating, so I didn't find his comment particularly unusual. Being a non-meat eater, he's probably heard about the benefits of eating fish, which includes helping those who have been diagnosed with ADHD like him. But I don't want him to let ADHD define his life. So, I tried to lighten the mood by saying, "It's a good thing we don't have to grow our brains by eating brains."
His reply: "Yeah, 'cause otherwise, zombies would be geniuses!"
