Scrivener for Windows 1.0 Released!

In case you hadn't heard, Scrivener for Windows is no longer in Beta. It has been officially released.

For $40, it is the very best word processing software you can get.

I love how easy it is to navigate my work-in-progress (WIP). Rather than having to work in one long single document, I can write individual scenes within chapter folders. Thus, if I am writing away in a scene in chapter 17 and I think of something I need to check on or change back in chapter 2, I can easily click the chapter 2 folder and when I'm done click back to chapter 17 and carry on.

I also love working with the corkboard. I just write a quick summary of the scene on the index card, and then I can move the index cards around on the corkboard-- and the scene moves with it! I also love having that quick summary in view when I'm working on a scene. It helps to keep me focused.

One of my favourite features is being able to attach a picture to each character. This is not a must-have for me, but it sure is fun.

It is an awesome piece of software and I'm looking forward to future added features.
